9 Artists We Predict Will Take Over 2026

The music industry has become an exciting place the past few years. With underground artists performing on global stages, some who’ve been in the industry for 10 years finally getting their big break, and legends collaborating with new gen.

Last year saw the rise of Tate Mcrae, ADÉLA, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Dean, YUNGBLUD, KATSEYE, and more. Who will take over 2026? Here are Cake The Mag’s predictions.

Her debut album was released last year, the extended edition is set to be released in February, and a mini tour this March. She’s booked and busy and we just know we’ll be seeing more of spill tab this year.

CORTIS

They just debuted a few months ago and already have loyal fans around the world. Their music really is very different to everything we’ve heard in K-POP and we just know they’re ready to break more boundaries and reach for the stars. The group is so young (in age and in the industry) and they’re hungry to take over.

Dove Cameron

We know she’s been struggling with finding her aesthetic, she even said it herself. But, there’s something about the energy that’s telling us this is her year. “Hello My Old Lover” took us back to Alchemical: Volume 1 and “Whatever You Like” was a fresh and more lighthearted version of her we haven’t heard in a while. We’re manifesting more music, a happy engagement, and more icy vocals (and 56 Days hehe).

KARLEE GIRL

With just 3 singles out and debuting in 2025, Karlee knew rnb is the right approach for her vocals. The independent artist successfully created art as a full-time college student with a job and this year is proving means more time and creative energy and we can’t wait to see what she brings.

5 Seconds of Summer

They’re back!!! After a long hiatus, the band released their new album in November and they’ll be pretty much touring the entire year of 2026. EVERYONE’S A STAR! will come to life on stage and we’re looking forward to seeing what they bring.

GIRLSET

The comeback we were waiting for and it did not disappoint. The “Little Miss” group broke the internet with their single and hypnotising choreography. 2025 felt like their launch and 2026 will be their takeover.

Zara Larsson

“Boots! That’s my ego boost!” The second half of 2025 was already her year but 2026 is a fresh start. The second leg of her Midnight Sun tour begins in February and she’s back in Europe in the summer. For the chronically online artist, there are viral moments to come.

BTS

This one’s a given. After a four year break while members attended military service, BTS will be back on March 20, 2026. The dedicated website hints at an album and tour, their Instagram is completely scrapped and ready for a rebrand, and they have a new logo! This comeback is going to be so exciting!

FLO

It’s the reemergence of girl groups. FLO is a group of baddies and although they’ve been getting the streams and followers, 2026 is giving the year of their popularity and opportunities. The girls have the vocals, the moves, and the GRAMMY nomination, and with the re-appreciation of girl groups and understanding of the hard work that goes into their craft, their 2026 rise is bound to happen!
