Did Burberry and Hunza G Just Release The Most Iconic Swimwear Collab?
There is a particular kind of creative confidence that comes from knowing exactly what you are. Hunza G has possessed it for more than four decades. Burberry has been reacquiring it, methodically and beautifully, under the hands of Daniel Lee. When two brands with that quality of self-knowledge find each other, a beautiful capsule comes to life.
“There’s a natural connection between Burberry and Hunza G as British brands. Our approach to material and craft is shaped by a relationship to the elements.”
Across four silhouettes, the Faye, Tyler, Domino, and Devyn, Burberry's check trims arrive as both accent and anchor. The palette includes archive colours: black, white, metallic cocoa, and red. The matching scrunchie included with each piece is a small, smart flourish — something that travels from the water to the city, just as Lee describes.
The decision to create a new seahorse motif for the collaboration is perhaps the most revealing detail. The Burberry Knight, the brand's heraldic emblem, reimagined for underwater adventures, finished with the B shield and Hunza G lettering. It is playful, but it is also a serious act of world-building: two visual languages negotiating a shared grammar.
