Sound Dè Favela is the Only Way to Kick Off World Cup Season
Dè Favela is back! What started as a simple gathering with no formula has grown into one of Dubai’s most essential cultural movements, and honestly, we’ve been waiting for the next chapter.
Built by PBLK Affairs, this isn't just another event on your already busy social calendar; it’s a space where football and fashion naturally collide, inspired by the reinterpretive spirit of Brazilian favelas.
On May 2, the movement returns to the 25hours Hotel Dubai One Central with Sound Dè Favela, a one-day experience designed to kick-start the energy of the upcoming FIFA World Cup in the most freeing way possible. This time around, things are feeling even more focused, using football as the “common language” to bridge the gap between the pitch and the culture.
We’re looking forward to the football-led panel talks featuring key voices from the regional scene, alongside the street-style tournament energy that makes the sport feel like the entry point into everything else. But the vibe doesn't stop at the sidelines as it flows straight into the musical landscape of the day.
With two distinct zones, “Pitch” for global sounds and “The Dugout,” curated alongside thhe individuals behind Shabab Intl, you can expect a heavy rotation of Brazilian baile funk, amapiano, and afro-house beats.
