Birkenstock Bets Big on Animal Print

Birkenstock has just put four of its most recognisable silhouettes through an animal-print rework.

The Animal Pack takes the Boston, Arizona, Madrid and Gizeh, all built on the brand's original orthopaedic cork-latex footbed and reissues them in hair-on-leather leopard with gold buckles, high-shine embossed crocodile-effect leather, snake and leopard prints on signature suede in Oyster, Pepper and Sandcastle, and matte python and leopard foil on Birko-Flor, some in the chunkier Big Buckle version.

This is an in-house design push, framed under the brand's “celebrate the archive” strategy. Animal print isn’t just an evergreen pattern Birkenstock happened to dust off, it's genuinely one of the defining prints of the 2026 season, with snakeskin turning up across Marni and Ludovic de Saint Sernin and leopard coats stalking NYFW.

The collection has landed through Birkenstock stores, birkenstock.com and select retail partners.
