Brunello Cucinelli Strips Back for High Summer
Brunello Cucinelli’s High Summer 2025 collection strips back to the core of seasonal dressing, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary ease. Designed for both men and women, the capsule reflects the quiet elegance of the warmer months through natural materials, technical fabrics, and a clear, coastal-inspired aesthetic.
For menswear, the theme centres around the world of sailing. The collection takes cues from the iconic J Class yacht, with fluid tailoring, functional detailing, and a refined nautical touch. Colours fall into two categories: a classic mix of navy and panama tones rooted in maritime heritage, and a bolder combination of cherry and beige for a sharper contrast. The standout material is abaca—a sustainable, water-resistant fibre sourced from the Philippines—woven with wool and silk to deliver a breathable yet structured fabric. Alongside it, microfiber outerwear, lightweight cotton gabardines, and nautical knits underline the collection’s focus on performance and polish.
Women’s pieces are shaped by the ease of summer living by the coast. Lightweight fabrics—cotton organza, striped gauze, and airy knits—create a soft, fluid silhouette. The palette moves between soft neutrals with metallic highlights and vibrant citrus tones grounded by earthy shades. Signature motifs like the layered papyrus print, oversized stripes, and net-inspired textures give the collection dimension without excess.
Tailoring is unstructured, layering is effortless, and accessories carry through the seasonal direction. For men, washed suede espadrilles and canvas bags with leather accents echo the maritime theme. Women’s accessories lean into natural textures with raffia, jute, and gathered leather designs offering functionality and understated elegance.
