Vilhelm Parfumerie Introduces Three Scents Inspired by Hannibal

Vilhelm Parfumerie’s latest fragrance collection draws inspiration from the legendary Carthaginian general Hannibal, a man whose life story continues to symbolise strength, complexity, and vision. The three new scents – Great Lord, Sun Cities, and Chimilka – reinterpret historical grandeur through a modern olfactory lens, each with its own bold character and refined composition.

At the core of the collection is a rich, powdery leather base, unified by osmanthus and immortelle, supported by earthy notes of patchouli and oakmoss. The result is a trio of strong, layered fragrances that mirror the tension and harmony within Hannibal’s own story – from conquest and duty to vulnerability and devotion.

Great Lord opens with plum and mandarin, supported by saffron, cardamom, suede, and a musky, amber-drenched base. It's a portrait of Hannibal himself – noble, daring, and resolute. The scent walks the line between dark intensity and approachable warmth, anchored by the sweetness of pink sugar and the intrigue of violet.

Sun Cities pays homage to Carthage and the sun-soaked Mediterranean landscapes central to Hannibal’s world. It layers juicy pineapple over the same leathery heart and musky base, offering a brighter, more radiant interpretation of power and legacy. The blend nods to heritage and evolution – grounded in history but made for the present.

Chimilka introduces a feminine perspective to the narrative, honouring the woman behind the legend. Creamy peach and soft mandarin contrast against the same leathery core, resulting in a fragrance that is strong yet tender, magnetic yet understated. Chimilka embodies balance – of softness and intensity, strength and sensuality.
