YSL’s Le Vestiaire des Parfums is Inspired by Iconic Fashion
Yves Saint Laurent’s legendary designs, from the revolutionary tuxedo to the fluid lavallière, are now translated into fragrance through the Le Vestiaire des Parfums collection. These scents reflect the couturier’s daring spirit and distinctive aesthetic, offering a unique olfactory wardrobe that reimagines his iconic garments and materials.
At the centre is Muse, the latest addition to the line and a tribute to the women who inspired Saint Laurent. Notes of ink, soft iris, and sensual vanilla come together in a skin scent that is both enigmatic and memorable. Muse leads a collection that includes standout scents like Tuxedo, a bold reinterpretation of chypre with patchouli, pepper, and ambergris, and Blouse, which layers Damascena rose with angelica and Cashmeran to reflect the iconic see-through blouse’s delicate yet provocative nature. Velours pays homage to the maison’s opulent use of velvet with an intense rose and patchouli blend, while Trench brings the structure and sensuality of the classic coat to life with orris butter and citrus notes.
Saharienne, inspired by the desert-ready jacket, evokes heat and freedom with neroli and creamy musks. Lavallière leans into androgynous elegance with a green fig, rose, and geranium composition. Jumpsuit captures utilitarian chic with magnolia, bergamot, and jasmine, while Gold explodes with the richness of tuberose, ylang-ylang, and amber in a nod to Saint Laurent’s love for radiance and excess. Finally, Cuir channels the rebellious sensuality of leather through a powerful oud-infused profile, delivering one of the most intense and luxurious scents of the range.
Beyond perfume, the collection extends into Hand & Body Washes, offering a daily ritual that prepares the skin for fragrance layering, and scented candles that bring the YSL spirit into the home. Locations like Paris, Marrakech and New York are reimagined through scent, reinforcing the brand’s global presence and signature sophistication.
