H&M Atelier Has Autumn Menswear Figured Out
H&M Atelier’s first pre-autumn menswear collection has arrived and it’s basically a style memo for how men should be dressing this coming season. The collection is transitional, sharp, and smartly edited and takes you from late-summer Fridays to crisp Monday mornings. This is menswear that looks like it’s been pulled from the mood board of someone who knows his way around a suit, but isn’t afraid to mix it up with a knit vest or leather jacket.
The season’s mood? Back-to-work, but relaxed. Familiar business staples like suiting, striped shirts, and ties are reimagined with slightly oversized silhouettes, layering potential, and a confidence-first fit. Colours stay grounded in autumn with deep brown, camel, grey, and indigo rinse denim and a surprise hit of bright turquoise to keep things interesting. Heritage fabrics do the heavy lifting, adding texture and tactility to every piece.
A relaxed dry wool grey suit that can be worn together or split up for more casual styling. Striped cotton shirting in unexpected tones. A woven tie that looks just as good undone. Elsewhere, corduroy trousers and indigo denim are paired with knitwear — V-neck collared sweaters, a snug vest, and a boxy cardigan that all feel effortlessly put-together. And then there’s the lived-in leather jacket, the kind that looks like it’s been yours for years, complete with craft-like details like embroidered monogram pockets and cuff buttons.
The H&M Atelier menswear collection is available exclusively online from August 21.
